CUZCO TRADITIONAL / MACHU PICCHU
03 Days/02 Nights

  • Day 1
    Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Welcome with coca tea and rest for acclimatization to the altitude.
    In the afternoon, a visit of the city, Koricancha temple, the Cathedral, 12 Angles Stone and then the four nearby ruins: Kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay and fortress of Sacsayhuaman.
  • Day 2
    Breakfast. Whole journey by train to the citadel of MachuPicchu; guided visit through by all its sectors and lunch.
    In the afternoon return to Cuzco and transfer to the hotel.
  • Day 3
    Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.

CUZCO, SACRED VALLEY AND MACHU PICCHU 04 Days/02 Nights

  • Day 1
    Arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Welcome with coca tea rest for acclimatization. In the afternoon, visit of the city and nearby ruins.
  • Day 2
    Breakfast. Whole day journey to the Urubamba Valley that ancient peruvians considered as "sacred" due to its beneficent weather, fertile lands and presence of Vilcanota or Sacred River. Visit to the town of Pisac and its handicrafts fair. Lunch at Urubamba and continuation to the ruins of Ollantaytambo, archaeological complex that was the great religious, administrative, agricultural and social center of Tawantinsuyo era. (It operates Tue, Thu and Sun.)
  • Day 3
    Breakfast. Whole day trip to the citadel of MACHU PICCHU. Lunch included.
  • Day 4
    Breakfast. Transfer to the airport.

TRUJILLO - CHICLAYO - CAJAMARCA

Trujillo, located on the coast north of Lima, is known for its archeology and beatiful beaches. "Chan Chan" and "El Brujo" are two of the archeological sites you can visit while in Trujillo. In Huanchaco beach you will see the famous reed boat surfers and some of the longest waves in the word.

Further north along the coast is the city of Chiclayo. The Sipan archaeological complex is one of the most recent discoveries in the area. You can also visit the Batan Grande monuments and the Tocume pyramids, where the famous golden Tumi can be found. A few miles away is the Salas village famous for its folk medicine.

In-land toward the northern Andes, you can also visit the city of Cajamarca. In this city you will find remains of Inca walls and beatiful churches which exemplify the architecture of the time. Th local hot springs, renowned for their healing properties, provide an opportunity for relaxation for tired vacationers. You can also visit the Cumbemayo aqueduct, the Los Frailones stone forest, and the stone walls of Otuzco.

PARACAS - ICA - NASCA

The city of Paracas, located just south of Lima, is one of the most ancient geographic and archeologic wonders of Peru. The city is known for its wonderful climate, beatiful beaches and fantastic food. At The Islas Ballestas and National Reserve of Paracas you will see marine animals and the famous pink flamingos among numerous other wildlife. The flora and fauna of this region can not be matched in the world. Other areas to visit around Paracas are the Museum of Julio C. Tello, Yacimiento de Santo Domingo, and the famous Three Crosses. The Cathedral is a rock formation above the ocean that cannot be missed.

Ica city, located 300km south of Lima, also provides a wonderful opportunity for visitors to see famous archeological sites. The Sanctuary of Señor del Luren, Iglesia of the Merced and the Regional Museum are part of the sites you must visit. You can also visit the Lagoon the Huacachina, the canal of La Achirana del Inca and the ancient pueblo de Cachiche.

Nasca is most renowned for the mysterious Lineas de Nasca. These geographic wonders represent figures of plants and animal over 350km in length. These sites can be visited by foot, but are best seen from the air. The Nasca aquaducts, the Cahuachi pyramids and cementary of Chuachilla are also sites that can not be missed outside of Nasca.

SANDOVAL LAKE LODGE
Located in Puerto Maldonado, 25 minutes from the River Madre de Dios

  • Day 1
    Transfer from Puerto Maldonado to the Madre de Dios River Port. Short visit to the City. Following a 25 minutes river ride is a 30 minutes walk where you will board a canoe to visit Lake Sandoval. We will then board a catamaran to Sandoval Lake Lodge. After lunch and a short rest, we board the Catamaran to visit the West Lake to view the guacamayos. Return to dinner. At night, we board canoes to visit and admire the Caiman Negro.
  • Day 2
    Depart very early, to view birds and with luck, sealions fishing in the river. Return for breakfast and native demostration of the Nueces de Brasil. After lunch, rest and then visit the East Lake to view the five species of monkeys residing there. Return for dinner. Optional night trip to the lake.
  • Day 3
    Following breakfast, return transport in canoe to return to Puerto Maldonado. From there catch connecting flights to Lima or Cuzco.

EXPLORAMA LODGE- IQUITOS
BASIC PROGAM
03 DAYS/02 NIGHTS
  • Day 01
    Reception at the airport, brief city orientation and transfer to the Explorama dock. Fifty mile journey down the Amazon River to Yanamono Stream where Explorama Lodge is located. Afternoon hike along the "lake trail" through lowland rainforest which is seasonally flooded. During the high water season, this excursion is done by canoe! Night walk or canoe ride to enjoy the sounds of the rainforest and stars of the Southern sky.
    Lunch, Dinner.
  • Day 02
    Morning walk along the "Busmaster Trail", where scientific studies by the Missouri Botanical Gardens have found the world´s highest biodiversity of trees per square hectare. Your guide will point out many plants used in medicine today and many that we may use in the future. Afternoon canoe trip along the Amazon in search of either of the two species of freshwater dolphins found in the river and then change for an afternoon swim.

  • Day 03
    Morning walk along a local Amazon River trail with stops along the way to visit the local "rivereños" or river people, visit a river school, see the local sugar cane rum factory and visit our resident American medical doctor in her clinic sponsored by the Rotary Club. Transfer back to Iquitos for your departure flight to Lima.
    Breakfast, Lunch (if departure flight permits)
    Due to the everchanging nature of the rainforest, day-by-day activities may change due to weather, trail or river conditions.

AREQUIPA - CANYON DEL COLCA

Arequipa located in the southern part of Peru, is the second largest city in the country. With sun shining an average of 300 day per year, it is an excellent place for vacationers. In Arequipa, you will visit the Iglesia de la Compania de Jesus and the renowned Santa Catalina convent. The extraordinary view of the mountains surrounding the city can not be missed, most especially for the famous Misti Volcano. The Mejia Lagoons National Sanctuary, Aguada Blanca dam, and Salinas lagoon are some of the wondrous sites you can visit while in Arequipa.

The Colca Valley, famous for river rafting and the renowned Cruz de Condor, is part of the magical tour outsite os Arequipa. Along this deep canyon you will see the ethnic beauty of the Collagua Indians who reside in the valley. Each town in the valley boass historic churches and beatiful architecture. The valley itself provides opportunities for river rafting and later for relaxing in natural hot springs. The Cruz de Condor provides the backdrop for a look at the condors who make the valley their home.

MACHU PICCHU INCA TRAIL 4 Days/3 Nigths
  • Day 1
    Very early, pick up from your hotel in Cuzco and transfer to the 88km where the porters will be waiting to start the trek until Huayllabamba Andean town. Overnight camping. Lunch and dinner.
  • Day 2
    Breakfast. Crossing of Warmihuañusca pass at 4,200mts, from where we will have a great view of the mountains with perpetual snow. Reach Pacaymayu for second Overnight camping. Lunch, dinner.
  • Day 3
    Breakfast. Walk until the impressive archeological group Wiñaywayna and others. Third camping evernight. Lunch and dinner.
  • Day 4
    Breakfast and very early arrival to Intipunka or "sun door" with an impressive view of the citadel of MACHU PICCHU. Descent to the ruins and guided visit of all its sectors. Lunch included, afternoon return by train to Cuzco.

MANU WILDLIFE CENTER
Manu wildlife center is located East of the Manu River and North of the River Madre de Dios.

  • Day 1
    Depart early in the morning, transfer to the airport from your hotel. 35 minute flight to Boca Manu. From there you will travel in covered boat 90 minutes to the Manu Wildlife Center. Lunch.
    In the afternoon, explore the 30 miles of the jungle where it is possible to see some of the 12 species of monkeys which live in the area. Dinner. Then night tour of Collpa de Tapires.
  • Day 2
    Wake up before sunrise. Travel to visit the Collpa De Guacamayos y Papagayos. Return for lunch. Visit one of the local lakes for birdwatching.
  • Day 3
    Wake up before sunrise. Explore the local vegetation guided by local natives and biologist. You may also see monkeys and visit another local lake.
    After lunch, opportunity to find other birds and animals in the jungle. Dinner, then option to revisit the Collpa de Tapires.
  • Day 4
    After breakfast, board the boat for return to the airport. Arrive Cusco. Reception and transfer to hotel.
